                                The scene is filmed at a low angle to make us feel weak, like a little rodent getting in on a secret. The dialogue and the little pauses formed in hesitation keep us in suspense. Their attire signifies that this movie takes place somewhere around after WW2. The fact that this whole scene is shot in black and white gives a noir vibe, like a mysterious crime drama.
